2017, firstly, I want to thank you, you have been the greatest teacher so far. Every tear, I’m grateful for, every laugh, I’m grateful for. This year I learnt how to be independent, I realised you don’t need another person to ‘complete’ you, the completeness comes from within yourself.
This year, I finally discovered what I wanted to do career wise, I discovered my love for blogging, online marketing, and even though I had a slight set back in October, I am going into 2018 back on track with my career in full swing.
I made new friends this year, some for the better, some for the worse. I built on existing friendships, I lost old friendships, but something I finally understand is that, the actions of others is out of your control, and I stopped trying to change that.
I’m not a believer of ‘new year, new me’ you should never change yourself, but improve yourself.
My five goals for 2018
1. Meditate and practise law of attraction
This year I discovered the law of attraction, and it has helped me mentally significant amounts. I recently discovered a love for meditation too, and plan to stick to it on a morning when I wake up and on an evening when I go to sleep. Meditation really helps you just ‘be’ which is so important.
For anyone wanting to know more about the law of attraction, I can highly recommend a book called ‘The Secret’ or YouTube a lady called ‘Abraham Hicks’, she is amazing.
2. Enjoy work and work hard
I’m naturally a very career-focused person and could not be more excited about starting a new role in the new year. I love working, I’m a big believer in if you want nice things, go get them. I’m so glad I finally discovered my passion, because I think it’s so important to enjoy work, you spend so much of your life working it would be silly and quite sad to not enjoy it.
We all know I’m obsessed with Strictly and I always regret that I stopped dancing when I was younger. Dance excites me, it gives me those feelings of butterflies. I recently started Salsa classes and plan to continue them in 2018, I am obsessed with the genre of music too so it is a perfect match!
Necesito practicar mi Español. I need to practise my Spanish. I’ve improved a lot this year but 2018 I really want to go for it. I have a great Spanish friend, Gerard, he’s amazing at helping me improve. I have a goal, to write full blog post in Spanish by the end of 2018!
5. Look after myself
I eat rubbish, I don’t exercise anywhere near as much as I should and I’m sick ALL THE TIME. I owe it to myself this year to finally start eating right and exercising for my health. I plan to sleep 8/9 hours every night and take ‘me’ time as much as I need it.
2017, you’ve been a blast!
These are my favourite pictures from 2017, I can’t wait to capture more in 2018!
